Red Coral Platy is distinguished by its bold, solid red-orange coloration. Male is smaller, more brightly colored than the female and will also have a slightly pointed caudal fin.
Platy are very easy to keep and are peaceful community fish that reproduce with ease. They are livebearers, meaning the females release live fry rather than laying eggs. These fish are omnivorous, they will eat in store flaked foods and algae, as well as freeze-dried bloodworms and tubifex, and brine shrimp.
Recommended water pH should be between 7.0 and 8.2, water temperature should be between 64ºF and 77ºF and dKH should be between 10 and 25.
